Christmas decors at Marina Square
Christmas at Changi
I love going to the Changi Airport Terminal 3 mainly because it is not crowded. There is this shop called Periwinkle where I often find beautiful dresses for Shaynna that are always on sale! Or I could just bring a good book with me and find a chair in one of the quiet spots. There’s also a food court so I don’t have to eat in its cafes or restaurants and end up paying a lot because of the 10% service charge and 7% GST. Most of all, I love the decorations! Now that it’s Christmas, they put up this really huge inflatable where kids could play for free if you could just present a receipt from the shop(s)…
When you get off the sky train, you will be greeted by this elf…
I also love these decors that could make you feel you’re in a fairy tale…
Purple Trees
Christmas and hearts
Golden decors at the Paragon
Christmas bears?
My friends talk about it a lot especially when Christmas is fast approaching. They often tell me that it feels like being in the Philippines when you stroll along the famous Orchard Road this time of year. Last year, I’m not sure if they already put up some decors in November and I haven’t been there last year in December. Fortunately yesterday, I had to meet up some friends in Orchard and I had a wonderful time taking photos of the Christmas decors! However, I find the decors beautiful but too dark, as mostly were all-blue or all-purple. But there were some that caught my interest, especially the ones at Takashimaya.
We can’t call them Christmas trees, as they are dozens of teddy bears arranged to resemble cones (or Christmas trees?). How I love the colors!
Audrey in Singapore
I used to watch the soap opera “Tayong Dalawa”, because I like Kim Chiu who portrayed Audrey. And there’s Coco Martin! Then I heard from a friend that this soap opera is being aired here in Singapore. I thought it was just some joke going around until I saw this in the newspaper:

In here, it is known as: “The Two Of Us”, not subtitled, but dubbed in English. I have no idea if many like this soap since we just watch TFC most of the time. I just hope the people here will love it as much as they love “Pangako Sa ‘Yo”. Yes, Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa are quite well-known here, too.
Christmas time is here!
Last year, we didn’t bother to buy a Christmas tree. Some glitters on the plant in the apartment and we were set. Then my housemates just had a baby and they are spending Christmas here again. So this year, they bought a Christmas tree, put it up last week. It’s only 3 feet tall but it’s really a delight having it in a corner of the apartment:
I’m quite surprised to see that Christmas decors are put up earlier this year than last year. Here’s the usual giant Christmas tree at the Tampines Mall:
30 days to go and I’ll be on a plane to Philippines for Christmas! Can’t hardly wait!
Just look up

Tasted like ramen in Japan
Like my friends from Japan who also moved here, I’ve tried out ramen at different Japanese restaurants. Nothing tasted like, not even close to the ones in Japan. Not until early this evening. I met some friends for a special dinner (two of them are getting married on October 8th), and we went to “Tampopo” restaurant at Basement 2 in Takashimaya. Due to numerous disappointments, I did not expect much but when the ramen was served to me, I knew all along that it would taste great…
after…
They have a lots of ramen to choose from and I’m definitely going back there to try each one of them…
The red birthday car
I should have shown you this photo last month. But I couldn’t wait ’til next year…
I found this car displayed somewhere in Orchard, obviously as a celebration for Singapore’s 45th National Day. I didn’t go out to see the parade, as I am not entitled to. Nor did I go out to join the street parties. (I know, I’m kind of kill-joy). But I went out to buy my bicycle! Mind you, it is also red. Well at least it won’t be too hard to remember my bicycle’s “birthday”.
