I’ve just had a chat with friends about our families. A couple of friends mentioned that some of their cousins have children who have already borne children. That make them grandparents, right?

Then a realization hit me, I have been a granny for years! Most of my cousins are much older than me and they are grandparents already. Almost every relative way younger than me just call me “ate” so I have not felt this hard-to-accept reality before.

The photo below of Shaynna and my cousin’s daughter was taken more than 3 years ago. This girl is now a mommy:
