Shall I Celebrate, too?
Every mother out there knows how hard it is to try to live “normally” far from her child. Believe me, it’s really hard. I’ve been away from my precious Shaynna for almost two years, so I don’t feel at all deserving to be called a mother. Well, technically, I am. But…
Sentiments aside, I just want to greet all of the mothers out there, a Happy Mothers Day!
To Mama Conching, we love you!
Here’s a rare photo of me as a “mom in action” - one of those precious moments when I felt I was really a mother. Shaynna was about 5 months old, and that lovely lady beside me is my mother.
I’ll be in trouble if she finds out about this. If you look closely, she didn’t have her dentures when this was taken.

Hi Shiera, we have the same plight. My son mostly grew up with my mom. Sometimes, I don’t feel like I am deserving of the title. But I know eventually, my son and I will be together. Hoping the best for you.
Happy Mom’s Day!

happy mom’s day….magdiwang ka…araw mo ito!
don’t feel worthless…remember that it’s for your baby’s future that you’re there in japan…hence, that’s a GREAT sacrifice. a sacrifice shared by so many other moms separated from their families just to earn a living.
your being there is not a selfish act, it’s for shaynna. when she becomes older, she will understand the sacrifices you made–just as i did with my own mother.

this is such a sweet photograph !! everyone is smiling so genuinely. yes, you should celebrate it. although you got separated from your baby, but i believe there is a reason behind it. it still definitely makes you her mum !!

My husband Stephen referred me to your blog. It is nice. Yes, you are a mother and you are doing the best you can. I love the picture of you, your daughter and your mother. Keep pressing in and you will be ok and reunited with your daughter soon!
