Featured Blog #2: Pangan Thoughts

Rico started his online journal in 1999, when the word “blog” still didn’t ring a bell, when Blogger, Wordpress, and other blog sites were still non-existent. Back then, Tripod hosted his blog and his laptop was the most beautiful laptop I’ve ever seen (I’ve always had a crush on all Sony Vaio computers).

Like the rest of Rico’s readers, his written (but not offensive) observations on other people amuse me, unless I find unpleasant comments about me! Be warned, Rico… hehe. He always has new ideas to keep his readers hooked into his blog. I just hope you’ll post more often, Rico. ;)

I’ve always enjoyed reading Rico’s posts. For years, I’ve been an avid reader of his blog. Rico also has amazing photos that I would like to give him one of the “Photography Idol Award” but this one suits him best:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 … Done!

Got tagged by Siani

1. Name one thing you do everyday.
* Chat with my family through Skype.

2. Name two things you wish you could learn.
* beautiful singing voice - is this an in-born talent, or can this be acquired through voice lessons? I’ve always dreamed of becoming someone like Darlene Zschech but my voice just doesn’t allow it.
* interior design and/or fashion design

3. Name three things that remind you of your childhood.
* The board game: Millionaire’s Game
* Laced white socks - My mother was obsessed with laced socks that she even bought me such socks to be worn with my high school uniform! I never wore them again after getting weird glances from my classmates.
* Our small “sari-sari” store - Being the good daughter that I was, I spent my week nights and weekends being in charge of that tiny store.

4. Name four things you love to eat but rarely do.
* sashimi and sushi - very expensive even in Japan, or should I say, especially in Japan?
* lechon baboy - is there a restaurant here in Osaka that serves this?
* shrimp, crab, octopus, and squid - I love these seafoods but then I’m allergic to these.
* durian - You clearly couldn’t find this here in Japan.

5. Name five things/people that make you feel good.
* a call, a text message, or email from family, friends, and comments from blogging friends
* a haircut
* a romantic comedy film, may it be Korean, Japanese, or English
* a cup of my favorite Java Chip Mocha at Starbucks or Cafe Mocha at Tully’s cafe
* ice cream

I’ll be doing a lot of tagging later so I won’t tag anyone here. But if you like to grab this, please do. It would be a pleasure to know more about you guys. :)
