Photohunt: Old-fashioned

I don’t know who started beauty pageants for children and I can’t comprehend why hold such event. For me, I prefer not to expose children to an “adult-like” world. Children should be left alone to play and explore the world at their own pace. Anyway, I was still so small when my mother first dragged me to join such event in the town fiesta…

Fortunately, we didn’t have to engage in talent showdown and question-and-answer portion. The “queen” was determined in an old-fashioned way: draw lots.

(cute old-fashioned gowns, eh?)

For my 5-time participation in such event, I wasn’t lucky enough to be queen. This is still practiced in my hometown, and yes, it’s still done in the old-fashioned way, especially for children.

Thank you very much for dropping by… have a nice weekend everyone!
