On Spam Comments and Messages
Hello friends, fellow bloggers, and visitors,
Recently, I’ve been receiving unpleasant comments and not so nice shout box messages, as well as others I consider as spam. Due to this, I’ve decided to remove my shout box and activated comment moderation.
I’ve always loved hearing from you guys, so I’ve placed a “Contact Bisdak Babbles” form at the lowest portion of my side bar.
I hope you will bear with me and keep on dropping by.
Thank you very much!

Hwag kang pa apekto Shiera, take it as a challenge. Inggit lang sila, he-he.
Comment moderation is good too, especially if you have more than one blog.

shiera,
i suggest you install an anti-spam widget or plugin for your blog. even without moderating comments, there’s a very high tendency that spams will be caught. besides, just ignore your shout box. bahala sila sa buhay nila. manigas sila sa inggit.

it’s a good idea to have comments moderated. I also activated it in my site after reading about a blog receiving a kilometric spam comment that caused the site to crash.

Oh no. I’m sorry to hear you’ve had nasty comments. Why do people do such things? I hope you haven’t let them chase you away from blogging. Please feel free to keep on visiting my place - you’re always very welcome - and as you know, I don’t put up with malicious comments and nastiness, so you’ll be safe there. If you do visit my place - I tagged you, before coming here and reading your last few posts - so just ignore the tag. If you return to blogging, keep comment moderation enabled, and only allow Blogger/Open ID users to comment. I find that malicious comments are usually left by cowardly, anonymous readers. Come back soon, and don’t let the morons win! Take care and keep in touch.

I would think the shout box is useful for interaction between the bloggers and the readers. We can’t help those who choose to spam. You could opt to block them out from your management account then. Good Luck to you!
