Found this really nice meme from Grace and it brought back lots of memories from more than 10 years ago!
Who was your best friend?
My best friend was not from my school but because she’s my neighbor, we were almost inseparable. I actually call her my “twis” (twin sister).
What kind of car did you drive?
We didn’t have a car… and I still don’t drive. ^-^
It’s Friday night. Where were you?
In our little sari-sari store! I’m the eldest so I didn’t have much choice but be the salesgirl after school and on weekends.
Were you considered a flirt?
No… I was very timid and a bit afraid of guys (I didn’t know why).
Were you in the band, orchestra, or choir?
I wanted to join the choir but as I have mentioned, I was extremely timid.
And no, I’m not gifted with a good singing voice… I just love to sing.
Were you a nerd?
I may have been wearing eyeglasses since high school but I didn’t consider myself a nerd. But I think I was soooo unstylish… old-fashioned to be exact! And I think I still am? hahaha
Who was your favorite teacher?
My favorite teacher was Mrs. Nunez, our homeroom adviser. I think she was also our English teacher. She was really patient and really nice.
What was your school mascot?
None.
Did you go to the Prom?
We didn’t have a Prom. La Salle Academy’s a Catholic school and the brothers didn’t allow such kind of activity. I wonder if it’s allowed nowadays.
Did you have a job in your senior year?
Being a part-time salesgirl of my parents’ little sari-sari store? But I was not paid though. They said that my service wasn’t enough for my board and lodging. (I’m glad my parents don’t read this blog! hehe)
Did you go to school with anyone who is now famous?
I’m not really sure… ahhhh I think there’s one. I think she’s famous especially in Mindanao as an anchorwoman of ABS-CBN Iligan.
Did you go to a senior trip?
Yes, we had an out-reach program somewhere in Iligan City. Each one of us had to stay with a family for a day and not as a guest. We had to act as part of the family so we had to help out in the daily chores or even in the family’s livelihood. Some of our classmates became kalesa drivers for a day! “My” family made those Christmas trees from some kind of bushes so I had to help them smoothen those little branches.
Have you gone to a class reunion?
Sadly, not even once. I still consider myself shy (???). I’ve always wanted to go but if not one of my close friends is going, I back out. I hope I could attend this year’s reunion…
I know you’re also itching to try this out… have fun!
