Yatta! ( I did it! )

Namba: one of the places in Osaka I never dared exploring alone. I’m really afraid of getting lost especially in the underground maze they call subway station. I’ve been to Namba before with some friends but we usually walk through the shopping street (商店街) from Honmachi.
However, a friend from the Philippines asked me to find some second-hand electronic items and there’s no better place where you could find these in Osaka: Den Den Town in Namba. So armed with my limited Nihongo and my not-so-dependable instinct, I took the train to Namba. With the help of a train station staff, the maps they place outside the subway station, and mostly my instinct ^-^, I reached Den Den Town with few detours! Finding my way home was a piece of cake. he he

I’m just overjoyed because I have been dependent on others in getting to other places. Trying it all alone definitely means getting lost! ^0^

I realized that at least learning katakana and hiragana is really helpful in trying to figure out the maps. ^-^
